CALL FORWARDING *72

Need to be away from home but can't miss an important call?

Call Forwarding allows you to transfer incoming calls to another number.

To turn on Call Forwarding:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for a dial tone.
  2. Press *72 (dial 1172 for rotary dial users).
  3. Wait for dial tone, then enter the number where the calls are to be sent.
  4. When you hear confirmation tones followed by dial tone, Call Forwarding is activated.

To turn off Call Forwarding:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for a dial tone.
  2. Press “*73” (“1173 for a rotary telephone).
  3. Listen for two short tones, followed by the dial tone.
  4. Hang up. The calls will now ring at the regular number.

Already away from home, but want your calls forwarded? You can do it with one phone call. The Call Forward Remote Access feature lets you forward calls while you are away from home.

Remote Access to Call Forwarding allows Call Forwarding subscribers to activate remotely, change the forwarded number, or deactivate the feature from any Touch-tone telephone.

To Use Remote Access to Call Forwarding:

  1. 1. Call the access number for your area code and exchange. In the Dallas calling area, call 469-554-4994. In the Corpus calling area, call 361-929-4994. In the Laredo calling are, call 956-284-4994. In the San Antonio calling area, call 210-239- 4994. In the Rio Grande Valley area, call 956-507-4994.
  2. Enter the phone number from which to forward calls (your home or business number).
  3. Wait for confirmation tones followed by dial tone, then enter your personal identification number followed by the # key.
  4. Wait for confirmation tones followed by dial tone, then enter *72 to activate or *73 to deactivate call fowarding.
  5. If activating call forwarding, enter the phone number to forward calls to, then wait for confirmation tones.
  6. Hang up.
